As Billy Graham boldly declared in his generation, "the cross of Christ" is the answer. Looking at the above footage from the Passion of Christ we are reminded of the price that Jesus paid for our sins in Isaiah 53:
He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.
Like one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:3-6
The picture to the right is of a young girl touched by the Lord at 16 years old in one of the ministry's meetings. In this picture four years later she is sitting at the cross of Christ while on a ministry missions trip to Mexico. Just as Jesus changed her at the cross, He will touch every young person in America who will take up his cross and follow Him.
When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming he said, "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." Thank God for the blood of Jesus that was shed for us. There is power in the blood of Jesus to set every young person free in America. Jesus Christ is the answer to the spiritual crisis in America.
